20:49

Sun ♐︎ sextile Pluto ♒︎ (00’02)

The shifts in the undercurrents that we’ve only just begun to experience — from when Pluto fully moved into Aquarius November 19th — are at once activated through transit by the Sun. This transit can give us an intense embodied energy, and a drive to be active and moving.

The Sagittarian quest for a bigger picture that we embark upon this month is an opportunity to resource us in uncovering unconscious themes: where we react compulsively, uncontrollably, even violently, and what perceived threats lurk in our communities and sense of togetherness. A renewed visibility and perspective of mass alienation, collective callousness, and the reflexive urge to turn away from what disgusts us.

11:55

Venus ♑︎ sextile Saturn ♓︎ (12’44)

Venus has been engaging in Saturnian themes these last two weeks as it moves through Capricorn, and this sextile is incredibly supportive for establishing boundaries and taking care of our practical needs in relationship. Venus in Capricorn (Saturn’s sign) wants to establish a reliable and realistic foundation, that is well resourced for taking the rough with the smooth.

This transit may see you meeting someone to have a conversation about money, about your material safety, or just agreeing on the terms of a working partnership (creative or romantic). This may involve a more formal and consequential agreement on something previously unclarified around these topics.

Tuesday 26 Nov

02:41

Mercury ♐︎ Stations Rx (22’40)

Like any Mercury retrograde this will entail a peak in disruptions to communication, technical difficulties, and our words being misconstrued. Double-check anything you are scheduling during this window as it’s likely to clash with the existing schedule. Mercury’s retrograde through Sagittarius this month will have us reflecting on how we jump to conclusions, our life philosophy, our big picture for how we imagine the world works. It wants to reconsider your subjective truth and what ideas we are actually willing to commit to?

Mercury here has a talent for seeing the symbolic meaning in everything but is less adept at reading the small print or taking in the details. It leaps to understand the broader philosophical and political implications, seeing each moment in the context of the wider world, before really processing the individual data points.

In the age of misinformation that we live in, the facts are so often paraphrased, or reappropriated, or just entirely fabricated in the aid of a good story. This retrograde prompts us to reflect on how everything is narrative. We are asked to reconsider the stories we tell and the power of the words we use. How are we bending the narrative to win over a crowd, or radicalise others to our own cause?

With Jupiter and Mercury in each other’s signs, this tension between the need to convince, and to broadcast our perspective with loud, empowering, flashy language will be exacerbated. There will be a tendency to exaggerate or skimp over the research, miss out ‘the boring parts’ to sound exciting, especially when this opposition goes exact later in the month. Pay attention to what you’re leaving out and how these parts might challenge your own telling of events.

Wednesday, Nov 27

08:06

Sun ♐︎ trine Mars ♌︎ (05’34)

Amidst these reflections on the power of a good narrative and subjective truth, this transit will see us motivated to practice what we preach. Mars in Leo wants to be seen doing the right thing, and emboldens the Sun to make that happen and express that with our whole being. This is a very energetic transit, great for doing something competitive or physically exerting, or something stagy and dramatic that engages with your passions in a way that is exhilarating. It’s fun, it’s playful, and a little bit horny.

This is a fast fiery transit, and although there’s a risk of coming on too fast or being a little bit ‘me first’, this will charge you up and get you moving with confidence.

Sunday, Dec 1

06:21

New Moon ♐︎ (09’32)

At a time when one could do anything, what should one do next? This New Moon invites us to envision something better for ourselves and to dare to dream. This is a time to have audacity in setting your goals, because it should be as much about the excitement of the journey that compels you as the destination. The Sun and Moon, the conscious desire and unconscious need, are aligned in their longing for adventure and their openness to new ideas, but it is worth cautioning your ambitions may not be received as you would like by authority figures in your life, due to this alignment’s T-Square configuration to Jupiter and Saturn.

This New Moon asks us to have faith in what we reach for, not because it is guaranteed to turn out how we imagine, but because of the like-minded people it will draw to us and what it will inspire in the world.

Optimism can seem like a fool's errand in the face of the darkness of Winter, but Sagittarius has the audacity to think bigger and see farther than what we suppose is possible because it’s not concerned with how it will achieve its dreams. It knows that having dreams, and having a vision, is the first and most necessary step toward doing something meaningful. This is a time for envisioning a new narrative, even if how you will pursue it is not yet clear.

Wednesday, Dec 4

10:08

Mercury Rx ♐︎ opposite Jupiter ♊︎ (16’43)

Echoing the sentiment of this entire month, this transit in particular will have us involved in conversations that are challenging our philosophy or manipulating the narrative. Jupiter in opposition can represent public-facing institutions or figureheads that influence our worldly perspective — be they religious authorities, political parties and pundits, or higher education systems.

You may find yourself drawn into debates with the loudest voice in the room, or trying to defend something where — no matter how much evidence you have — the other party won’t listen. Or the reverse where you have no evidence but feel compelled to assert yourself through your words alone, because you know something to be true on a soul level. Unfortunately, neither party in this conflict is likely to change the others' minds in this moment.

The positives of this transit is that in less dogmatic and institutional settings it can be a very busy social transit and see a peak in your energy to communicate and engage with friends. It is likely to highlight something you didn’t know or have overlooked from your own point of view.

16:18

Sun ♐︎ square Saturn ♓︎ (13’00)

This transit will likely come as a knock to your self-confidence, embarrassment, or a reality check on some of the more ambitious parts of your recent big-picture dreams. Saturn demands that you be more discerning with what you let in and how you are showing up. This transit manifests as obstacles and setbacks that are no one individual’s fault, but can be due to oversights in the plan.

It can be utilised in a more supportive way by willing to take advice or criticism — likely from an older relative or figure of authority — or being adaptable to what is realistic given the circumstances. It may require you to slow down and take your time, because what you want is actually quite hard work.

18:52

Venus ♑︎ sextile Neptune ♓︎ (27’08)

A soft and soothing transit that both supports us in being more empathetic in our relationships, and forthcoming with our own emotions. This transit is open-hearted, compassionate, and can be very restorative. Venus in Capricorn wants to build long lasting relationships with firm yet loving foundations rooted in being accountable and owning our shit, while Neptune is incredibly gentle and forgiving. It will soften the blow of some of the harder, more irritable transits of the week.

It’s also a wonderful time to get creative, and receive what is present in the collective unconscious. A heightened appreciation of beauty in this window makes it a great time to engage with art: watch a movie, listen to an album all the way through, draw a picture… Be moved by what you take in.

Friday, Dec 6

02:18

Sun ♐︎ conjunct Mercury Rx ♐︎ (14’27)

Our active sense of self and how we communicate are aligned. This transit will have us speaking earnestly from where we are at, for better or worse, and focus our thoughts on ourselves and our own perspective. This transit makes it challenging to get out of your own head and to hear what other people are saying when it contradicts your worldview. However it can also empower you to say what’s on your mind with lessened self-consciousness (albeit because you may assume everyone is on the same page), and make your perspective more visible.

23:33

Mars Rx ♌︎ (06’10)

As Mars moves into its biannual retrograde we are called to reassess our motivations, how we act, how we ask (or don’t ask) for what we want, and how we are standing up for others. This can be a time for increased reflection on our anger, what we are fighting for, our passions, or sex and sexuality. If you have any placements in between (or in aspect to) 6’ Leo and 17’ Cancer, these points will likely colour the experiences you have as Mars passes over them.

Mars has been in Leo only a short time, courageous and trying hard to be seen doing what it believes to be righteous, but will soon return to Cancer to revisit whatever has been up for us around these topics since October 5th. This last month and a half has been where we make the mistakes and missteps that will here be relevant to reflect on. Mars stays retrograde until February 24th 2025, so this is a long and somewhat deflating time for our ego and drives, where we may feel confronted or attacked by what comes up.

You may experience a change over the next month from this more deliberately visible, honest, and righteous call to action, to a hesitant ebbing and flowing lethargy that longs to withdraw from activity. You also may experience embarrassment, or find an impotence to your ability to affect the world around you. This is not a sign that you are weak, it is a reminder that there is strength in holding space for others. This is not a sign that you are lazy, this is a reminder that rest is a requirement.

What a Mars retrograde teaches us is restrategising how we channel that anger and drive to enact change or challenge difficult situations effectively. Violence (and there are many kinds) is often the fastest way to get what you want, but it always comes at the material cost of our relationships and the things that are broken in the process. Unchecked anger or passion is not a sustainable motivator on its own, it needs a strategy.

Saturday, Dec 7

01:53

Mercury Rx ♐︎ square Saturn ♓︎ (13’05)

This transit may feel like your thinking is hitting a wall, or that your words are just not getting through to someone. Exacerbated by the retrograde, expect delays and setbacks to short journeys or meetings. This is a transit better spent on going over the paperwork and planning than applying it or trying to convince anyone of your great ideas… however the rest of the forecast may make this difficult to avoid.

06:13

Venus ♑︎ enters Aquarius ♒︎ (00’00)

14:08

Venus ♒︎ conjunct Pluto ♒︎ (00’22)

This transit is a powerful moment, as the yawning unconscious depths of Pluto opens behind Venus like a black pit. It marks an intense receptivity to the things that have been deliberately hidden, demonised, and stuffed down into the dark parts of our psyche. Particularly impacting our sense of material safety in relationships —from acquaintances to close friends and lovers — and issues around money.

It may also be a time where your creative ideas take on an intense aesthetic. Almost as if you are purging something toxic from deep within and bringing it to the surface to share. This likely won’t be a comfortable experience, and may make us feel in danger, but Venus is ready to help us show up as a community, connect, and heal through sharing around these fears and traumas.

20:58

Sun ♐︎ opposite Jupiter ♊︎ (16’15)

The ongoing dialogue between your ambitions and what is acceptable within society will reach a climax under this transit. High-minded institutions (be they religious, educational, or political) that uphold dogma and decide the acceptable ways of being, are likely to challenge your will to differentiate yourself and speak up under this transit.

In the context of the other transits that are happening on this day it is difficult to say whether this challenge you bring will be constructive and liberating, or will be given a cold reception and ignored. But in either instance it will present you with a decision about the degree to which you are willing to conform to the popular narrative. This is occurring during a Mercury retrograde with a lot of miscommunication, misinformation, and loud voices speaking before being in possession of the facts.

Your instinct may be to weigh up the two extremes, and feel torn by two ultimatums, but it is also worth being reminded there may be a hidden compromise amongst the shades of grey.

Thursday, Dec 12

10:46

Venus ♒︎ opposite Mars Rx ♌︎ (05’58)

Another opposition: another more direct confrontation and opportunity to make a decision, this time between our ego driven ‘I want’ and what is fair and agreeable for everyone. This transit challenges our interpersonal relationships and can feel like it is other people who are being unreasonable, either by making you bend to meet their desire or because they won’t change to meet yours.

Both Aquarius and Leo are very self-assured and honest signs, and compromise might not be possible under this transit. But it is still worth having a conversation and figuring out what these disagreements and differences are, so that you can take a step back and either restrategise your approach (in the spirit of the Mars retrograde) or perhaps reassess who your allies might be.

Friday Dec 13

07:45

Mercury Rx ♐︎ sextile Venus ♒︎ (06’58)

A lovely transit, great for socialising, being chatty and just having a perhaps much needed laugh. You’ll find things you’ve been trying to articulate are clearer at this time  and can be worked out among friends — perhaps you have a chance encounter with an old friend who you drop into conversation with, or a date with someone who just really seems to get you.

Sunday Dec 15

09:02

Full Moon ♊︎ (22’53)

This Full Moon is still under the Sun/Jupiter opposition, bringing an exaggerated and enthusiastic quality to the conversational Full Moon in Gemini that will once again likely drag you into a debate. This entire Sagittarius season has put huge emphasis on asking how true is that narrative? Giving us cause to doubt the information that we absorb and experiencing pushback on our conviction around our own beliefs, every step of the way.

What are you actually committed to? Sagittarius and Gemini both have a tendency to take on adventures just for the sake of the story, but what they can teach us about each other here is the emotional value of connection, and that meaning making is a collective and collaborative experience, not only dictated by the loudest voice. The nuance is important because that’s what brings the symbolic world down to a relatable personable level. You need other people, not just to share your perspective to but to make your stories with.

This moon will echo what was going on for you around the 6th of June.

If you’ve been paying attention — checking your sources, and doing the research — this Full Moon will feel exciting and help assure you of what you know, now that you have found the words. Later this evening Mercury turns direct once more and the chaos of its Retrograde will cease.

20:57

Mercury ♐︎ Stations Direct (06’24)

The retrograde is over and communication and planning becomes easier, hopefully with a renewed perspective and approach to how we handle information and the narratives we weave.

Wednesday 18 Dec

14:29

Sun ♐︎ Square Neptune ♓︎ (27’10)

This transit can hit us with a lot of confusion. Forgetfulness, and a feeling of our vitality being swept away from us. It can be lethargic and deflating, perhaps leaving one feeling a little lost and directionless.

It can be a good time to engage in a personal creative project and channel some of the murkiness in this hard watery transit into something visual. Or, if you don’t feel so inclined, to try find something beautiful to sit with.

Friday 20 Dec

02:11

Venus ♒︎ trine Jupiter ♊︎ (14’38)

A bountiful transit, brining an expansive social energy and a receptivity to being explorative, being adventurous, and accelerating our creative mind. This is a great time for being genuinely innovative with what you make, or having conversations that really broaden your horizons. There may be a tendency to spend big under this transit, and as long as you can justify it, this will be very enjoyable. This transit encourages us to be around people.
